Professionally managed account offer

For accounts with balances of $100,000 or more, you can provide customized financial guidance and investment management and assess an advisory fee (not to exceed 1% of account assets per year) for your professional services. This added flexibility allows you to more closely integrate your clients’ charitable giving strategies into their overall wealth management plans.

  • Publicly traded securities

    You may leverage the full depth and breadth of Schwab’s open-architecture platform (subject to Schwab Charitable investment policies and oversight), including:

    • Stocks, bonds, and CDs
    • Mutual funds, ETFs, and notes
    • Socially responsible investments 
  • Alternative investments

    For larger accounts, you can recommend separately managed accounts and alternative investments, subject to review and approval by Schwab Charitable, including:

    • Hedge funds
    • Private equity funds
    • Venture funds
    • Socially responsible investments
Disclosure

A donor opening a professionally managed account must recommend an independent investment advisor, who, if approved by Schwab Charitable, will manage the assets contributed to the account. Advisors must meet certain eligibility requirements, including working with Schwab Advisor Services™, a business segment of The Charles Schwab Corporation, and agree to the Investment Advisory Agreement, which is available on schwabcharitable.org.
