To get started, log in to your account. Next, select Grant from the menu or the Give to Charity button on the right, and then Grant to Charity. Find the charity for your grant recommendation by typing information into the Charity Search field and selecting Search.
Next, enter the details of your grant recommendation. starting with the amount. Note, you can specify which investment pools the funds will be pulled from in order to process your grant. Once you click on the Which Investment Pools option, simply follow the instructions on the pop-up screen.
To save you time in the future, you can also set up recurring grants when you specify the frequency of your grant. You can also indicate whether your grant is for the charity to use wherever they need it most or for a specific purpose, and if you want your personal or account details shared with the charity.
When you’re ready, review everything, certify that your grant adheres to our Program Policies’ granting guidelines, and select Submit. That’s it! Once the grant recommendation has been reviewed and approved by Schwab Charitable, the charity will receive a grant award letter with a check.
