What We Offer

Ensure Ongoing Philanthropy with the Charitable Legacy Program

For donors who wish to have their philanthropic mission continue after their death, Schwab Charitable provides the Charitable Legacy Program. The program allows donors to recommend a recurring gift after their passing to their favorite charities for five years or more.

Under the Charitable Legacy Program, as many as six charitable organizations can be recommended as grant recipients by the donor, each to receive a percentage of the remaining donor-advised account balance periodically. Donors may also create an account name of their choosing.

In addition, the program can provide an advantageous estate-planning strategy that allows increased giving to valued charities and reduced estate taxes.

We provide a more comprehensive view of our estate-planning options on our Estate Planning and Your Philanthropic Goals page.

For more detailed information about the Charitable Legacy Program, see our Program Policies.
